Blake, thanks for this inspiring update. You always have a bed for as long as you want at my house, near Geneva (Coppet). I have friends and family around Europe, so always feel free to reach out, or make sure you post itineraries for European travel and I can see if I can make connections to like-minded folk.
Your newsletters have always provided me with a ton of food for thought, so I’m excited to see that you’ll continue writing them in a new capacity. Also, I’m very much like you, and when it’s time to move on from something, I do. I just turned 40 in December and can relate so much to your need for adventure and creative freedom. I’m excited for you! If you ever need housing in Germany, let me know. I have many connections there! Wishing you tons of adventure, Blake!
Would love a report from the Aland islands sometime, reportedly (from unschooling friends that have stayed there) a school free community between Finland and Sweden that many move to to escape the compulsory school laws.
I can try to find some contacts if you’re interested
I love the advice you got: "You start accepting big parts of who you are, and you stop apologizing for them.” I'm 35 and already feeling this desire to focus less on changing myself and more on understanding and embracing who I am. I'm excited to read your upcoming more personal posts!

Thank you Jenna - I'll be in touch re: Germany connections!
Thank you for your continued candor and self-reflection and for the time and energy it takes to send your thoughts into the world.

such a great read, Blake! i really enjoy the way you follow adventure and are willing to shed parts of yourself even if you’re not entirely sure.
let me know if you come to Northern Italy!
Update: a friend just told me about the Spain "non-lucrative visa", good for two years, which I may qualify for! https://www.exteriores.gob.es/Consulados/washington/en/ServiciosConsulares/Paginas/Consular/Visado-de-residencia-no-lucrativa.aspx
