This made me smile! I love the clapping and now do it on all flights. I'll respond to your email, but yes, Lew would love to have a cafecito! One hot ip that you probably already know about....the best meal I've ever eaten in my life... La Alacena. It's in Palermo and has blown up a little in the last few months, but oh my word... so good. Order the white bean and squid appetizer...I dream about it.

I did not know about La Alacena! Will definitely investigate. It's just a few blocks away from where I lived for 3 months in 2017 while running the Unschool Adventures Argentina Semester! Love that area.

That's where Lew lives now. It's worth noting that La Alacena has a pasta shop and a restaurant. They're a few blocks apart. Make sure you're looking at the restaurant and probably make a reservation.

I'll be in Buenos Aires in July this summer. I will look forward to seeing the city with as much warmth as you have for it. Plus, I just took the tip from the comment in this thread about La Alacena and will make sure to try that too! Can't wait to experience a small portion of a city you hold so dear!

You must watch Let the Dance Begin, a recent Argentina gem of a film. I saw it on a plane and cried and laughed.

Love the description overload Blake… transported me there.

Thank you for the suggestion—I'm trying to find a way to watch it (with subtitles) but I'm coming up short! Sometimes airlines have good new movies that are hard to find elsewhere, it turns out. I remember watching "Cielo" (2017) on a Delta flight and then realizing that there was nowhere else to watch/stream it yet.

I see, I came upon it on an Edelweiss Airlines (Switzerland). Haven’t heard of Cielo

Full transparency update: my cell phone was snatched from my hand by a guy on a motorcycle while I was walking home from a tango dance last night! So, not as safe as I imagine. Or my good luck finally ran out.
